All the way from Dubai

Yesterday I had a mom and two sons that came to Wolfeboro all the way from Dubai! They wanted to get out on the lake so the boys could do some fishing and we all had a great time. I appreciated their teamwork, goal setting, and friendly competitive nature. Such a nice family.

After catching a few nice smallmouth bass in the morning, the boys asked me what the record was for catching fish during one of my charters. I told them that it was 80. So they decided to focus on catching numbers of fish and set a goal of 50. They hit that goal with time left so then they decided to go for sixty. And then 70.They took turns on the net, helping each other land fish. They caught smallmouth bass, rock bass, and sunfish using both live bait and artificial lures.

How can we be sure we got an accurate count on the number of fish? Well, I use a clicker counter to keep us honest. On trips with kids, they especially like it. It becomes a game to see who gets to hit the clicker each time a fish is caught.

Wolfeboro is known as is "The Oldest Summer Resort in America" and people come from all over to visit us, with good reason. I'm so glad they were able to come and enjoy a fun day on the lake. Hope to see them again next year.
